Disease description:

In the past few days, I noticed several small red bumps on the back of my hand. They are neither painful nor itchy. After observing them for several days, I found that they have not subsided, nor has their number increased. These red bumps are approximately 1-2 millimeters in diameter, light red in color, with a slightly smooth surface.

Small red bumps appearing on the back of the hand without pain or itching can be caused by various skin conditions. These may include, but are not limited to, allergic reactions, viral infections, fungal infections, eczema, or other dermatological conditions. As there is no accompanying pain or itching, some more serious conditions may be less likely; however, further observation and evaluation are still necessary.

For cases involving small red bumps on the back of the hand without pain or itching, patients are advised to first maintain good hand hygiene and avoid contact with irritants. Secondly, they may try using mild, over-the-counter antihistamines to see if symptoms improve. If the red bumps persist or increase in number, prompt medical consultation is recommended for a thorough assessment by a qualified physician.

A doctor may determine the underlying cause through physical examination, medical history review, and necessary laboratory tests, and will develop a treatment plan accordingly. Additionally, patients should maintain good personal hygiene in daily life, wear breathable clothing, and avoid contact with substances that may trigger allergic reactions, which can help reduce the occurrence of skin problems.
