What are the symptoms of mite allergy?
Recently, I've been feeling itchy all the time. My friend said it might be an allergy to mites, and I would like to know what symptoms are associated with mite allergies?

Mite allergy is one of the common allergic reactions, mainly caused by excretions, secretions, or body fragments of mites such as house dust mites and flour mites. Its typical symptoms include:
1. Respiratory symptoms: such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, coughing, and asthma, which resemble those of allergic rhinitis and asthma.
2. Skin symptoms: mite allergy initially causes skin reactions, including skin inflammation, redness, itching, and the appearance of eczema or eczema-like rashes. Particularly on the chest and back areas, red bumps may develop accompanied by intense itching. Scratching these areas may lead to extensive redness, swelling, and irritation.
3. Facial symptoms: if mites crawl onto the face, the skin may become rough, acne may develop easily, and there may be sensations of itching and peeling.
4. Long-term exposure: prolonged uncontrolled mite allergy may lead to chronic sinusitis, chronic cough, or worsening of asthma.
If related symptoms occur, timely medical consultation and treatment are necessary.
