The main symptoms of mites on the skin are primarily manifested as follows:

1. Skin redness and papules: Mites' activity on the skin or their excretions may cause localized skin inflammatory reactions, presenting as red spots or small papules, especially common in areas with excessive sebum secretion such as the face, chest, and back.

2. Skin itching: Mites parasitizing on the skin can cause significant itching, particularly more noticeable at night, which may seriously affect sleep quality.

3. Folliculitis and acne: Mite infestation may also trigger inflammation around hair follicles, presenting as folliculitis or acne-like skin lesions, especially more likely to occur in adolescents or individuals with oily skin.

4. Dry and flaky skin: Mites attached to the skin feed on the nutrients of skin cells, leading to dryness and flaking. This flaking may be accompanied by localized itching.

5. Skin sensitivity and allergic reactions: Long-term mite infestation may cause the skin to develop allergic reactions to mites and their metabolic products, manifesting as skin allergies, eczema, and other symptoms.

6. Enlarged pores: Mites moving in and out of the pores may stretch and block them, resulting in rough skin texture and enlarged pores.

It should be noted that the above symptoms are not necessarily caused by mite infestation and may also be related to other skin conditions. Therefore, if you suspect a mite infestation, it is recommended to seek timely medical attention for professional diagnosis.
