How to relieve pain from anal fissures
Recently, due to improper diet and prolonged sitting, I experienced severe pain around the anus and was diagnosed with an anal fissure after examination. The pain from the anal fissure has significantly affected my daily life. I would like to know what methods are available to relieve the pain caused by anal fissures.

An anal fissure is a chronic ulcer formed by a full-thickness tear in the skin or mucosa of the anal canal. Its main symptom is severe pain during and after defecation.
To relieve the pain of anal fissures, patients are advised to take warm sitz baths with potassium permanganate at a concentration of 1:5000, which can accelerate local blood circulation, clean the wound, relieve anal sphincter spasm, and thereby reduce pain. Regarding medication, applying local anesthetics or muscle relaxants to the fissure can effectively alleviate pain.
During treatment, patients should avoid spicy and irritating foods, consume more fiber-rich foods, maintain anal hygiene, avoid excessive straining during bowel movements, and seek medical attention promptly if the pain persists or becomes severe.
