Is there any impact if breast implants drop after one year?
I had breast augmentation surgery with implants a year ago. Recently, I noticed that the implants seem to be sagging a bit, and I'm wondering whether this is normal and if this condition could affect my health.
After breast augmentation surgery with implants, natural aging of breast tissue, the effects of gravity, weight fluctuations, and other factors over time may lead to some degree of implant sagging, known as implant displacement or breast ptosis.
In general, mild sagging does not directly affect physical health, but it may impact appearance and self-confidence. However, if the sagging is severe, it may be accompanied by risks such as implant displacement, inflammatory lesions in the breast, or malignant changes, in which case timely follow-up at a hospital is necessary to determine whether implant removal or revision surgery is required.
