What are the risks of breast augmentation with implants?
I have never been very satisfied with the size of my breasts and have recently been considering breast augmentation surgery. I would like to know if there are any risks or hazards associated with breast implants.

Risks and complications of breast augmentation with implants include:
1. Infection: As implants are foreign bodies to the human body and combined with surgical trauma, there is a risk of infection. If surgical sterilization is inadequate or postoperative care is improper, localized infections such as mastitis or abscesses may occur.
2. Capsular contracture: After implant placement, the surrounding tissue may react by forming a capsule, which can cause the breast to become hard, distorted, and sometimes painful.
3. Implant rupture or leakage: Over time, implants may rupture or leak, necessitating revision surgery for replacement.
4. Anesthetic complications: Breast augmentation requires general anesthesia, and patients may experience allergic reactions to anesthetics. In severe cases, this may even lead to respiratory depression and death.
