Does getting a hyaluronic acid injection cause bleeding?
I want to improve my dry skin and fine lines. I've heard that hyaluronic acid injections can hydrate the skin and brighten the complexion, but I'm concerned about the possibility of bleeding during the procedure.

It is usually not bleeding when receiving hyaluronic acid injections.
Hyaluronic acid injections primarily administer substances such as hyaluronic acid and collagen into the epidermis, achieving effects such as skin whitening, deep hydration, and improvement of skin dryness. As the treatment only affects the epidermal layer, it generally does not cause local bleeding. However, if the facial capillaries are particularly dense, mild pain, swelling, or bruising might occur during injection.
If bleeding occurs during the hyaluronic acid injection procedure, there is no need to be overly concerned, as this is considered normal. The doctor will immediately apply gentle pressure to the injection site with a cotton swab after the injection to help stop the bleeding. Additionally, to avoid excessive bleeding, it is recommended to choose an experienced and qualified physician for the procedure. The treatment should also be avoided during menstruation, pregnancy, or in individuals with coagulation disorders.
After the treatment, keep the injection area clean and avoid touching or rubbing it vigorously with your hands to prevent infection or worsening of the bleeding. If there is significant bleeding or if the bleeding lasts for an extended period, contact your doctor promptly for appropriate management.
