Is there any effect on having cried 20 days after getting double eyelid surgery?
About 20 days after undergoing double eyelid surgery, I cried due to emotional fluctuations and am worried this might have a negative impact on the recovery process. I would like to ask whether crying 20 days after double eyelid surgery could have any effect?

Crying 20 days after double eyelid surgery generally has little impact on the surgical outcome.
After double eyelid surgery, wounds will be present around the eyes, accompanied by mild swelling and discomfort. When crying, the muscles around the eyes may tense up, potentially increasing ocular pressure. During the early postoperative period, this pressure might interfere with wound healing, possibly worsening swelling or prolonging the recovery time. However, after a recovery period of 20 days, most swelling has usually subsided and the initial healing process is largely completed. At this stage, occasional crying generally does not significantly affect the final surgical outcome.
Patients are advised to avoid excessive eye use and vigorous eye movements after double eyelid surgery, including staring at screens for prolonged periods, reading extensively, or crying intensely. Additionally, following the surgeon's post-operative care instructions—such as keeping the wound clean, maintaining a balanced diet, and ensuring adequate rest—is important to promote faster recovery of the ocular tissues. If any discomfort or abnormal symptoms such as persistent redness, swelling, pain, or increased discharge occur, patients should contact their surgeon promptly for evaluation.
