Can I eat meat after rhinoplasty?
I am 25 years old and have just undergone rhinoplasty. I really enjoy eating meat and would like to know whether it's safe to eat meat after rhinoplasty.

It is generally acceptable to eat meat after rhinoplasty, but attention should be paid to the selection and cooking methods of the meat. Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that alters the height and shape of the nose through the use of implants or autologous tissue. After surgery, doctors typically recommend avoiding spicy, irritating foods and alcohol, as these may increase swelling and inflammation at the surgical site. Meat is rich in protein, which helps promote wound healing and tissue repair, especially lean cuts such as chicken breast and pork tenderloin. Therefore, there is no specific restriction on meat consumption as long as attention is paid to cooking methods and meat selection.
It is recommended to choose meat that is easy to digest and high in protein, such as chicken, fish, or lean beef, and avoid overly fatty or difficult-to-chew cuts that may place additional stress on the surgical area. Cooking methods such as steaming, boiling, or stewing are preferred, while frying or grilling should be avoided to reduce fat intake and aid digestion. If the patient is allergic to meat or experiences digestive discomfort, meat consumption should be avoided to prevent allergic reactions or gastrointestinal distress. In addition to meat, patients should also consume adequate amounts of foods rich in vitamin C and protein, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, and milk, to maintain a balanced diet and support recovery.
