How long after breast augmentation can one wear a bra?
I recently had breast augmentation surgery and am currently in the recovery phase. My doctor said that I cannot wear a regular bra for a period of time after the surgery, which has caused me some inconvenience. I would like to know, under normal circumstances, how long after breast augmentation surgery can one start wearing a bra again?

The recovery after breast augmentation surgery is a progressive process. To ensure the effectiveness of the augmentation, it is usually possible to wear a bra one to three months after the surgery, depending on individual healing.
Breast augmentation surgery is a cosmetic procedure that enhances breast size through the placement of implants or fat transfer. After surgery, there typically is some swelling and discomfort at the surgical site, and a period of time is required for healing and shaping. Generally, one can consider wearing a bra one to three months after surgery, depending on the healing progress. If the recovery is good, a bra can be worn around one month post-surgery; however, if healing is slower, it may be necessary to wait about three months before wearing a bra. During the initial phase of recovery, it is recommended to choose a loose, comfortable, wire-free, and pressure-free bra to reduce pressure on the surgical area and minimize irritation and discomfort.
In addition, wearing bras that are overly tight or rigid should be avoided to prevent pressure on the surgical site, which could interfere with healing and the shaping outcome. During the recovery period after surgery, it is also important to follow the surgeon's instructions for post-operative care, including attending follow-up appointments and avoiding strenuous physical activities.
