How to Treat Rheumatic Rash
Recently, a friend of mine developed rheumatism. How is rheumatic rash treated?

The treatment methods for rheumatic eczema typically include the following aspects:
1. General treatment: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the affected skin area, avoid scratching and washing with hot water. Wear loose and breathable clothing, and avoid damp and hot environments. At the same time, maintain healthy eating habits, avoid spicy foods, seafood, and other irritants, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, ensure smooth bowel movements, and get sufficient sleep.
2. Local treatment: The use of moisturizers, ointments, or creams can help relieve dry skin and itching. For areas with inflammation, topical medications containing corticosteroids are recommended.
3. Anti-inflammatory treatment: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen or naproxen, can alleviate pain and inflammation. In more severe cases, corticosteroids such as prednisone may be required.
4. Immune modulators: In certain situations, especially when rheumatic eczema is associated with autoimmune diseases, doctors may prescribe immunosuppressants or biologic agents to control the excessive immune response.
5. Surgical treatment: If rheumatic eczema has severely affected the patient's normal joint function and mobility, joint synovectomy or joint corrective therapy may be considered. Rehabilitation training is necessary after surgery to promote recovery of joint function.
