Abortion can cause certain physical trauma to women, and it is generally recommended to rest for about two weeks after the procedure, allowing the body to initially recover.

Following surgery, the endometrium is damaged and the body is relatively weak. Adequate rest helps the uterus heal and reduces the risks of bleeding and infection. During the rest period, ensure sufficient sleep, aiming for eight hours per day, to allow full relaxation of all body organs.

Avoid heavy physical labor, such as lifting heavy objects or prolonged bending during work, to prevent interference with uterine recovery or even uterine prolapse. At the same time, engage in appropriate activities, such as indoor walking, to promote blood circulation and help expel淤blood, but avoid strenuous exercise.

In addition, keep warm and avoid catching a chill. Eat nutritious foods rich in protein and vitamins, such as eggs, fish, fresh fruits, and vegetables, to support the body's recovery. If discomfort persists after two weeks, follow medical advice to extend the rest period appropriately.

If you experience persistent severe abdominal pain, high fever, heavy bleeding, or other abnormal symptoms, seek immediate medical attention.
