What should I do if a mole treated with laser removal gets wet?
I am 22 years old. I had a mole removed with laser treatment a few days ago. Today I accidentally got it wet. What should I do?

In general, if the treated area accidentally gets wet after laser mole removal, it is important to immediately take a series of measures to prevent infection and promote healing. These measures include immediate drying, disinfection, application of medication, enhanced care, and close observation.
If the treated area gets wet, gently blot the moisture dry using a clean, sterile gauze pad or cotton swab—avoid rubbing vigorously. After the area is dry, use a medical disinfectant such as alcohol or iodophor to gently clean the treated area, reducing the risk of bacterial infection. Under a doctor's guidance, apply an appropriate amount of antibiotic ointment, such as erythromycin ointment, levofloxacin hydrochloride ointment, or tetracycline ointment, to help prevent infection.
During the recovery period, extra care should be taken to protect the wound from getting wet or coming into contact with dirt or other contaminants. Additionally, avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching the wound, as this may worsen tissue damage or lead to infection. Closely monitor the wound throughout the healing process. If signs of abnormality such as redness, swelling, pain, discharge, or pus occur around the wound, seek medical attention immediately so that a qualified physician can provide appropriate anti-infective treatment.
