Under normal circumstances, it is recommended to wait at least one month before resuming sexual intercourse after a miscarriage.

A miscarriage causes certain trauma to a woman's reproductive system, and the endometrium (uterine lining) needs time to heal. Shortly after a miscarriage, the cervix remains open and the vaginal defense mechanisms are weakened. Engaging in sexual activity too soon can easily introduce bacteria, leading to gynecological inflammations such as endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease, which could severely affect future fertility.

One month later, if the body has recovered well, a doctor confirms that the uterus has returned to normal, there are no abnormal vaginal discharges, and no personal discomfort is experienced, resumption of sexual activity may be considered. Even then, the first sexual encounter should be gentle, and contraceptive measures should be taken.

This is because a woman's ovulation function may recover relatively quickly after a miscarriage. Without contraception, there is a high risk of unintended pregnancy. Multiple miscarriages within a short period can cause significant harm to the body. It is important not to rush into sexual activity after a miscarriage; instead, prioritize physical recovery, follow medical advice, allow sufficient time for healing, and lay the foundation for a healthy future life.
