Is the method of removing pigmentation spots with laser reliable?
I am 22 years old and want to remove freckles, but I don't know whether laser freckle removal is reliable. I would like to know if the laser freckle removal method is trustworthy.

In general, laser pigmentation removal is a reliable treatment method. This procedure primarily utilizes the principle of selective photothermolysis. The high-energy light emitted by the laser device can penetrate the epidermis and is absorbed by melanin granules in the skin. After absorbing the laser energy, these melanin granules break apart and decompose due to the instantaneous high temperature, and are subsequently cleared through the body's natural metabolic processes. This process can effectively reduce or eliminate pigmented spots while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy skin tissue.
Although laser treatment cannot permanently remove pigmented spots—as sun exposure or other factors may cause them to reappear—it offers a relatively lower recurrence rate compared to other pigmentation removal methods, especially when proper skincare and sun protection measures are followed after treatment. If new pigmented spots do appear, laser treatment can be repeated.
To ensure treatment effectiveness and safety, patients are advised to choose reputable hospitals or professional aesthetic clinics for the procedure and to fully understand the relevant information and precautions prior to treatment.
