Whether bronchitis patients can drink milk depends on individual circumstances.

Milk, as a nutrient-rich food, contains high-quality proteins, amino acids, and nutrients such as vitamin A, which can protect respiratory mucosal cells, enhance immune function, promote antibody formation and phagocytic action of white blood cells, thereby alleviating respiratory infection symptoms to some extent. Particularly, vitamin A in milk helps protect the tracheal lining, maintain normal function of respiratory epithelial tissues, and reduce coughing symptoms.

However, the proteins in milk may sometimes trigger airway reactions, worsening symptoms in bronchitis patients, especially those with highly sensitive airways. Therefore, patients should consume milk in moderation and avoid excessive intake. Additionally, if patients experience excessive phlegm, they should preferably choose plain milk and avoid adding excessive sugar, as sugar may increase mucus production, which is unfavorable for recovery.

Bronchitis patients can drink milk in moderation but should pay attention to controlling the intake amount and selecting appropriate types of milk. They should also monitor their physical responses and, when necessary, adjust their diet under a doctor's guidance.
