Cervical erosion refers to cervical columnar epithelial displacement. Under normal circumstances, cervical columnar epithelial displacement may cause bleeding, which is usually bright red in color.

Bleeding from cervical columnar epithelial displacement typically occurs due to the fragile nature of the columnar epithelium, making it susceptible to irritation and injury. Contact bleeding may result from sexual intercourse, gynecological examinations, straining during bowel movements, and other similar situations. Additionally, if cervical columnar epithelial displacement is accompanied by cervical inflammation, inflammatory stimulation can cause cervical surface congestion and edema, thereby increasing the risk of bleeding.

However, not all cases of cervical columnar epithelial displacement lead to bleeding, and bleeding alone cannot be considered as the sole basis for diagnosing cervical columnar epithelial displacement. If bleeding or other abnormalities associated with cervical columnar epithelial displacement occur, timely medical evaluation is recommended to allow for targeted treatment.

In daily life, women should maintain good vulvar hygiene and undergo regular gynecological examinations and cervical cancer screening, which help in the early detection and prevention of gynecological diseases.
