It is acceptable to apply camphor oil on a child's mosquito bite swelling, as camphor oil can effectively relieve itching. However, please note that camphor oil is generally suitable for infants older than one month. Take care because younger children may scratch the bitten area, which could cause skin damage. Once the skin is broken, camphor oil should not be used. According to a doctor's instructions, you can first disinfect the area with iodophor and then apply mupirocin ointment, keeping the bitten area dry and clean.
