In general, women experiencing dysmenorrhea can take Fenbid (ibuprofen). Fenbid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), with ibuprofen as its main component, which has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects. For patients with dysmenorrhea, Fenbid can effectively relieve pain caused by uterine contractions and improve discomfort symptoms. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, thereby reducing excessive contraction of the uterine smooth muscle and alleviating pain.

Dysmenorrhea is divided into two types: primary and secondary. For primary dysmenorrhea, Fenbid can be one of the first-choice medications for pain relief. It is usually taken before menstruation begins or when pain starts for better effectiveness. However, it should be noted that Fenbid is contraindicated in individuals allergic to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs. Patients with peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe liver or kidney dysfunction should use it cautiously to avoid worsening their conditions.

Long-term or excessive use of Fenbid may lead to gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, and other side effects; therefore, prolonged use should be avoided. Fenbid may interact with other medications. Caution is required when using it concurrently with anticoagulants, antihypertensive drugs, or other agents. Alcohol consumption should also be avoided during treatment with Fenbid to prevent increased gastrointestinal irritation.

Taking Fenbid during dysmenorrhea can effectively relieve pain, but attention should be paid to its appropriate indications and usage precautions. For secondary dysmenorrhea, etiological treatment should be combined. If the symptoms of dysmenorrhea are severe or persist without relief, or if they are accompanied by other abnormal symptoms, timely medical consultation is necessary for detailed examination and diagnosis, so that appropriate treatment measures can be implemented.
