What are the routine physical examination items?
I would like to have a routine medical check-up, but I'm not very clear about what items are typically included. I'd like to know what the standard physical examination items are.
Routine physical examination items generally include physical examination. Body measurements include height, weight, BMI index, waist circumference, hip circumference, etc. Basic indicators such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature are also checked.
Blood routine tests examine red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, etc., in the blood to help diagnose anemia, infections, and other conditions. Urine routine tests detect substances such as protein, glucose, and ketones in the urine to assess kidney and urinary system health.
Liver function tests evaluate liver function by measuring indicators such as transaminase and bilirubin in the blood. Blood glucose and lipid tests measure fasting or random blood glucose levels and blood lipid levels to identify any abnormalities in glucose or lipid metabolism.
Abdominal ultrasound examines the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and other organs for abnormalities. Electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical signals of the heart to assess cardiac health. Chest X-ray examines the lungs and chest cavity to screen for lung diseases.
Physical examination items may be adjusted according to individual factors such as age, gender, occupation, and family medical history. It is recommended to undergo comprehensive physical examinations regularly.
