Last year, I developed some acne on my face. Because it was extremely itchy at the time, I couldn’t resist squeezing the pimples with my fingers. As a result, I’m now left with several acne scars (pockmarks) on my face. I’ve tried various acne-treatment products, but none have been effective. I’d like to ask: Can acne scars be directly repaired?

Post-acne hyperpigmentation or erythema typically results from delayed or inappropriate treatment of acne lesions. In certain cases, oral antibiotics—commonly tetracycline-class agents—may be prescribed, along with oral retinoids, which can aid in improving post-acne marks.
