What Causes Liver Abscess?
Disease description:
I went to the hospital for a checkup and was diagnosed with hepatic abscess. What causes a hepatic abscess?
Liver abscesses may be caused by viral infections. If the body is systemically infected with the hepatitis B virus, liver diseases—such as gallstones and chronic liver disease—may readily develop; these conditions, along with unhealthy lifestyle habits, can contribute to the development of liver abscesses. Factors such as frequent late-night activity, excessive stress, and irritability may also predispose individuals to liver disease.
