What Is the Treatment for Infectious Mononucleosis?
Disease description:
I would like to inquire about the treatment for infectious mononucleosis.
Infectious mononucleosis is treated pharmacologically. If fever occurs, antipyretic medications—such as ibuprofen granules—may be taken orally. For sore throat caused by bacterial infection, throat lozenges may be used or the mouth may be rinsed with normal saline; additionally, oral antibiotics may be prescribed for treatment.
