Causes of Sleep-Onset Difficulties in 7-Year-Old Children
There are various reasons for sleep difficulties in 7-year-old children, which may be related to poor sleep habits, lack of trace elements, excessive mental excitement, or the presence of allergic reactions.
1. Poor sleep habits
If a child is accustomed to being held until falling asleep before being placed in bed, or to listening to stories from parents until drifting off, this may lead to unhealthy sleep patterns and result in difficulty falling asleep.
2. Lack of trace elements
When children lack trace elements such as zinc or calcium, it may affect their autonomic nervous system, increasing excitability and thereby causing difficulty in falling asleep.
3. Excessive mental excitement
If a child becomes overly excited during the day or has been stimulated or teased before bedtime, they may remain in a state of heightened mental arousal at night, making it difficult to fall asleep.
4. Allergic reactions
If a child experiences an allergic reaction to newly worn clothing or items they have come into contact with during the day, symptoms such as itching and dermatitis may arise, causing physical discomfort that leads to difficulty falling asleep.
