During this time, a woman's body is relatively fragile, so special attention should be paid to dietary habits, daily routines, and various restrictions. It is best to avoid spicy, raw, or cold foods—known to be irritating. Watermelon, being a cold fruit, falls into this category; consuming such fruits during confinement may lead to abdominal pain or poor postpartum recovery, and thus is generally not advised.
