What causes fever and inability to pass stool?
Fever accompanied by difficulty passing stool may be caused by indigestion, constipation, intestinal obstruction, or other reasons.
1. Indigestion
Difficulty defecating during summer may result from hot weather causing poor sleep or reduced appetite. Additionally, longer working hours in summer can lead to greater mental exhaustion and increased stress, which may trigger indigestion and subsequently cause constipation.
2. Constipation
A diet that is overly refined, with insufficient intake of whole grains, vegetables, and fruits, combined with reduced food consumption due to poor appetite in summer, or excessive fluid loss from high temperatures without timely rehydration, may lead to dry, hard stools and constipation, resulting in difficulty passing stool during summer.
3. Intestinal Obstruction
If a person has undergone intestinal surgery during summer, improper postoperative care might cause intestinal adhesions or inflammation. Pre-existing conditions such as intestinal polyps or tumors may also contribute to intestinal obstruction. This blocks the normal passage of stool, causing it to stagnate in the intestines where excessive water is absorbed, leading to difficulty defecating in summer.
