Causes of pain in the lower left abdomen when moving
Pain in the lower left abdomen that occurs with movement may be related to intestinal diseases, gynecological conditions, or urinary system disorders.
1. Intestinal Diseases
When suffering from intestinal conditions such as colitis or intestinal tumors, inflammation can cause local tissue congestion and edema. If the peripheral nerves in the intestines are stimulated during physical activity, it may lead to pain in the lower left abdomen upon movement.
2. Gynecological Diseases
If a patient has gynecological conditions such as pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, or ovarian cyst torsion, the inflammation may irritate the parietal and visceral layers of the peritoneum, resulting in pain in the lower left abdomen when moving.
3. Urinary System Diseases
Urinary system conditions such as ureteral stones, urethral stones, or urethritis can also cause pain in the lower left abdomen upon movement, sometimes accompanied by obvious symptoms like hematuria (blood in urine) and frequent urination.
In addition, ectopic pregnancy in the left fallopian tube can also cause pain in the lower left abdomen with movement. Therefore, when patients experience the above symptoms, it is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation at a hospital for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
