Introduction
Rash with severe itching in the armpits and groin area may be caused by allergies, eczema, urticaria, or similar conditions. If a rash accompanied by intense itching appears in these areas, it could be due to contact with an allergen such as cosmetics, detergents, or medications, triggering a skin allergic reaction. It is important to keep the armpits and groin area dry and clean them with lukewarm water regularly.

Rashes in the armpits and groin that are particularly itchy may be caused by allergies, eczema, urticaria, or other conditions.

1. Allergy

If rashes appear in the armpits and groin accompanied by intense itching, it could be due to contact with an allergen such as cosmetics, detergents, or medications, triggering a skin allergic reaction. It is important to keep the armpits and groin area dry and clean using lukewarm water. If necessary, topical treatments such as desonide cream, hydrocortisone butyrate cream, or calamine lotion may be used under a doctor's guidance.

2. Eczema

Eczema is a chronic inflammatory, itchy skin condition typically presenting with symmetrical rashes and severe itching, which may include intensely itchy rashes in the armpits and groin. Symptoms can be relieved with calamine lotion under medical advice. For more severe cases, oral antihistamines such as loratadine tablets may be needed as adjunctive treatment.

3. Urticaria

Urticaria (hives) may result from physical stimuli such as friction, temperature changes, or sun exposure, or from abnormal immune function, leading to skin itching and localized edematous papules. This often manifests as intensely itchy rashes in the armpits and groin. Antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride tablets or loratadine tablets can be taken under a doctor’s supervision for treatment.

Additionally, scabies could also be a possible cause. Maintaining good personal hygiene and avoiding substances that may trigger skin allergies or infections can help prevent the development of skin disorders.
