Introduction
If the gestational age is small and the procedure is a simple dilation and curettage, and the patient is in good physical condition without experiencing any discomfort after surgery, resting for about half a month is generally sufficient for recovery. However, if the gestational age is larger, such as retained products of conception during the second or third trimester, the surgery is more complex and causes greater bodily trauma; therefore, approximately one month of rest is usually needed to promote full recovery.

The recovery period after a uterine evacuation procedure generally depends on factors such as gestational age and surgical complexity, and may require about half a month to one month.

1. Half a month

If the gestational age is small and the procedure was a simple uterine evacuation, and if the patient has good physical health and experiences no other discomfort afterward, resting for about half a month is usually sufficient for adequate recovery.

2. About one month

If the gestational age is larger, such as during the second trimester or with retained products of late pregnancy, the surgery tends to be more complex and causes greater bodily trauma; therefore, approximately one month of rest is generally needed to promote recovery.

After uterine evacuation, it is recommended to keep warm, enhance nutrition appropriately, and avoid spicy, stimulating, or cold foods to prevent interference with recovery.
