Introduction
Fatty liver disease refers to a condition in which excessive fat accumulates in the liver, leading to impaired liver function. On ultrasound examination, fatty liver typically appears as increased liver echogenicity, uneven intrahepatic echoes, and is often accompanied by hepatomegaly (enlarged liver). Treatment may include medications such as atorvastatin calcium tablets or reduced glutathione for injection, under the guidance of a physician.

Uneven parenchymal echogenicity in the liver may be caused by conditions such as fatty liver, hepatitis, or cirrhosis. A detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Fatty Liver

Fatty liver refers to a condition in which excessive fat accumulates in the liver, leading to impaired liver function. On ultrasound examination, fatty liver typically appears as increased liver echogenicity, uneven intrahepatic echoes, and may be accompanied by hepatomegaly (enlarged liver). Treatment may include medications such as atorvastatin calcium tablets or reduced glutathione for injection, under a doctor's guidance.

2. Hepatitis

In patients with hepatitis, liver damage affects intrahepatic blood circulation, resulting in uneven blood flow within the liver. This can lead to uneven liver echogenicity during imaging examinations. Medications such as azathioprine tablets or polyene phosphatidylcholine capsules may be used according to medical advice.

3. Cirrhosis

Cirrhosis is a disease characterized by long-term liver injury leading to fibrosis and structural abnormalities of the liver tissue. It is commonly caused by viruses such as hepatitis B or hepatitis C. On liver ultrasound, cirrhosis typically presents as decreased liver echogenicity, irregular hepatic structure, and altered liver contour. Liver transplantation surgery may be an effective treatment option.

Besides the above causes, uneven liver echogenicity may also result from liver failure, primary liver cancer, hepatic hemangioma, and other conditions. If any abnormalities are detected during examination, prompt medical consultation is recommended to receive accurate diagnosis and treatment from a qualified physician.
