Introduction
In general, the steps of cold knife conization of the cervix include anesthesia, disinfection, and surgical cone excision. Cold knife conization can cause certain physical trauma; therefore, if surgery is required, it should be performed under the guidance of a qualified physician. After the procedure, it is recommended to consume foods rich in vitamins, high-protein, and other high-nutrition foods, while avoiding spicy and irritating foods.
Generally, the procedure of cervical cold knife conization includes anesthesia, disinfection, and surgical conization. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Administer epidural anesthesia or intravenous general anesthesia.
2. After anesthesia is complete, position the patient in the lithotomy position, and perform routine disinfection of the external genitalia and vagina, followed by draping.
3. Insert a vaginal speculum to widen the vagina and fully expose the cervix, then disinfect again.
4. Use a cervical clamp to grasp the cervix and pull downward; insert a metal catheter into the bladder to determine the lower boundary of the bladder.
5. Use a cold knife to make a circular incision vertically on the cervix, gradually perform a cone-shaped excision deeper into the cervical tissue, and send the pathological specimen for examination.
6. If bleeding occurs, use electrocoagulation to achieve hemostasis. After complete hemostasis, remove the vaginal speculum.
After surgery, it is recommended to consume foods rich in vitamins, high-protein, and other high-nutrition nutrients, and avoid spicy or irritating foods. Pay attention to your condition postoperatively; if any discomfort occurs, seek medical attention promptly to prevent delay in treatment.
