A boil inside the ear
Boils in the ear may be caused by factors such as low immunity, external auditory canal furuncles, or bacterial infections, and timely medical treatment at a hospital is necessary. Specific causes are as follows:
1. Low Immunity
This may be related to vitamin deficiencies, insufficient sleep, or lack of physical activity, leading to the development of boils in the ear. Under a doctor's guidance, medications such as Ganoderma spore oil soft capsules or spirulina selenium tablets may be used for treatment.
2. External Auditory Canal Furuncle
This is usually a localized suppurative inflammation of hair follicles or sebaceous glands in the outer ear canal, causing irritation of the ear canal skin and symptoms such as ear pain and painful lumps in the ear. Under a doctor's guidance, topical application of ichthammol ointment or erythromycin ointment may be used for treatment.
3. Bacterial Infection
This typically occurs when pathogenic or opportunistic bacteria enter the bloodstream, where they grow, reproduce, and produce toxins and metabolic byproducts, potentially causing the aforementioned symptoms. Under a doctor's guidance, medications such as mupirocin ointment or fusidic acid sodium ointment may be used for treatment.
In addition to the above causes, boils in the ear may also result from sebaceous cysts, lipomas, fibromas, or other conditions. It is advisable to maintain a light diet and consume more fresh fruits and vegetables.
