Introduction
Under normal circumstances, it is not recommended to consume crayfish with foods rich in vitamin C, foods high in tannic acid, alcoholic beverages, high-protein foods, cold-natured foods, etc. For example, when vitamin C is consumed in large amounts, it may convert organic arsenic into trivalent arsenic, increasing the risk of poisoning. When enjoying the delicious taste of crayfish, attention should be paid to food pairing and portion control to ensure a healthy diet.

Generally, it is not recommended to consume crayfish with foods rich in vitamin C, high in tannic acid, alcoholic beverages, high-protein foods, or cold-natured foods. Detailed explanations are as follows:

     1. Foods rich in vitamin C

Crayfish contains a certain amount of arsenic elements, mainly harmless organic arsenic. However, when a large amount of vitamin C is consumed, it may convert organic arsenic into trivalent arsenic, increasing the risk of poisoning.

     2. Foods high in tannic acid

Crayfish shells contain a significant amount of calcium. Consuming them together with foods high in tannic acid may form calcium tannate precipitates that are difficult to digest, affecting digestion and absorption, and even causing gastrointestinal discomfort. It is advisable to avoid consuming crayfish with tannic acid-rich foods such as tea, persimmons, and grapes.

     3. Alcoholic beverages

Alcoholic beverages, especially beer. Alcohol promotes the production of uric acid, while crayfish itself contains purines. Consuming both together may increase the metabolic burden of purines and raise the risk of gout attacks. White spirits may also irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa and should not be consumed with crayfish.

     4. High-protein foods

High-protein foods include eggs, dairy products, soybeans, etc. Crayfish itself is high in protein, and consuming additional high-protein foods may increase the burden on the liver and kidneys, which is detrimental to health.

     5. Cold-natured foods

Cold-natured foods include watermelon, bitter melon, etc. Crayfish is warming in nature; consuming it with cold-natured foods may cause diarrhea, especially for individuals with a cold body constitution, who may experience abdominal pain and coldness.

When enjoying the delicious taste of crayfish, it is important to pay attention to food pairing and portion control to ensure a healthy diet.
