How to Prevent Stomach Cancer
Gastric cancer prevention includes the following measures:
1. Modify dietary patterns by increasing intake of fresh vegetables and fruits, legumes, milk, fresh fish, lean meat, and eggs. Encourage consumption of garlic and green tea, and avoid long-term intake of pickled or salted foods.

2. Improve unhealthy eating habits: avoid binge eating and irregular meal schedules; eat slowly and avoid excessively hot, coarse, or hard foods; limit smoked and pickled foods, and avoid high-salt diets.
3. Limit consumption of strong alcoholic beverages and refrain from smoking.
4. Implement effective grain storage practices to prevent mold contamination and remove moldy grains; ensure the safety and hygiene of drinking water.
5. Actively treat gastric ulcers and chronic gastritis, and eradicate Helicobacter pylori infection.
6. Conduct population-based gastric cancer screening in high-incidence regions and among high-risk individuals.

7. Genetic factors: First-degree relatives of gastric cancer patients face a higher risk of developing gastric cancer and should undergo early gastroscopy and serum gastrin level testing.
