Introduction
1. Eye care: Perform eye exercises daily and regularly massage the area around the eyes to promote ocular blood circulation. 2. Use vitamin E, as it possesses antioxidant properties that inhibit lipid peroxidation in the lens surrounding the eyes and improve blood circulation. 3. Maintain proper cleansing: Warm compresses can enhance blood circulation and accelerate the removal of sebum from the epidermis.

Milia are small, raised bumps that appear around the eyes—resembling sesame seeds. Typically, they appear yellowish-white in color, though their appearance may vary among individuals. In some cases, milia gradually disappear over time; however, in most instances, they persist unless properly treated. So, what should you do if milia develop under your eyes? Below, we address this question.

What to Do If Milia Appear Under Your Eyes

1. Eye Care

Perform daily eye exercises and regularly massage the area surrounding your eyes to promote ocular blood circulation and accelerate skin metabolism—both of which help eliminate milia. Additionally, the eyes are often described as “windows to the soul”; excessive screen time or chronic sleep deprivation can strain the eyes, slowing down local blood circulation and contributing to milia formation. Therefore, whenever you feel eye fatigue, perform gentle massage to relieve it.

2. Use Vitamin E

Vitamin E possesses antioxidant properties that inhibit lipid peroxidation within the lens and improve local blood circulation. After cleansing your face each evening, gently apply vitamin E oil directly onto the affected areas. With consistent use over approximately two weeks, milia will gradually diminish and may easily slough off. Alternatively, applying a lightweight, non-comedogenic eye cream to the affected area—and gently massaging it in—can also help disperse milia. Such eye creams maintain hydration of the periorbital skin, minimize micro-tears, and thereby reduce the likelihood of milia formation.

3. Maintain Proper Cleansing

Warm compresses enhance blood circulation and facilitate the expulsion of sebum from the epidermis, preventing its accumulation into milia. To apply: soak a clean towel in warm water, wring out excess moisture, and place it over the affected area for 2–3 minutes. Repeat this process 3–5 times, for a total duration of about 10 minutes. Consistent application not only helps remove existing milia but also significantly prevents new ones from forming. Moreover, since hormonal imbalances may contribute to milia development, incorporating regular aerobic exercise into your routine is advisable—it improves systemic circulation and accelerates skin cell turnover.

The above outlines practical approaches to managing milia under the eyes. We hope this information proves helpful to you.
