How to Address Eyelid Wrinkles
Prolonged exposure of the skin to ultraviolet (UV) rays in sunlight accelerates skin aging and oxidative damage. So, how can one address wrinkles on the eyelids?
How to Address Eyelid Wrinkles
Warm rice grains, when kneaded into a soft ball, can help absorb excess sebum and impurities from skin pores. Gently massaging the warm rice ball over the face helps cleanse the skin. More importantly, the rice ball may help reduce fine lines—restoring the skin’s natural “breathability” and minimizing wrinkle formation. To massage the eyelids and target wrinkles, close your eyes and place your index and middle fingers at the outer corners of both eyes. Gently press upward and outward along the orbital bone toward the temples. If you notice drooping or creasing beneath the eyes, slowly glide your fingers laterally toward the ears and hold the pressure for approximately five seconds. Repeat this sequence six times per session.

Staying up late causes skin laxity. Particularly after an all-nighter under artificial lighting, the eye muscles become fatigued. Consequently, chronic sleep deprivation predisposes individuals to upper eyelid wrinkling. As we age, facial muscles naturally lose tone—but persistent sleep deprivation is a major contributing factor, leading to ocular muscle fatigue and subsequent wrinkle development.

Without proper skincare, facial wrinkles—including those on the upper eyelids—may develop. Wishing you optimal health and joyful living.
