Dr. Dai Zhenyu
Paralysis is a relatively common symptom in neurology, referring to reduced or lost voluntary motor function in patients. It can be classified into flaccid (soft) paralysis and spastic (hard) paralysis. Flaccid paralysis—also known as lower motor neuron or peripheral paralysis—is characterized by decreased muscle tone. In contrast, spastic paralysis—also termed upper motor neuron paralysis—is associated with increased muscle tone.
