What Causes Pain Inside the Eye?
Disease description:
My eyes hurt and I’ve been tearing up since I woke up this morning—what could be causing this?
Eye pain can stem from various causes. For instance, staying up late to use computers or stare at mobile phones may lead to symptoms such as eye pain and dryness. Alternatively, a foreign body entering the eye may irritate the cornea, resulting in eye pain. Corneal inflammation (keratitis) caused by bacterial or fungal infections is another possible cause. Additionally, ocular trauma may result in corneal lacerations, causing pain within the eyeball. If you experience symptoms such as soreness, decreased vision, or headache, seek prompt medical attention at a hospital.
