After being bitten by mites, patients typically develop erythematous plaques accompanied by pruritus. These lesions may also exhibit localized skin swelling and even urticarial wheals. Examination often reveals petechiae at the bite sites. The rash caused by mite bites may gradually resolve spontaneously, with associated pruritus subsiding over time. If pruritus is severe, topical medications—such as corticosteroid creams or calamine lotion—may be applied under a physician’s guidance to alleviate symptoms.
