Blood in the stool accompanied by blood clots may result from hemorrhoids or anal fissures, or could be caused by rectal polyps or ulcerative colitis. Additionally, gastrointestinal tumors—such as rectal cancer—cannot be ruled out. When experiencing bloody stools with clots, avoid spicy, stimulating, and greasy foods, as these may exacerbate the condition.
