Yellowish semen refers primarily to a yellowish discoloration of the ejaculate, most commonly associated with prolonged abstinence in men. When sexual activity is infrequent or absent for an extended period, semen may become concentrated within the body, resulting in a slightly yellowish hue upon ejaculation—a normal physiological phenomenon. Alternatively, yellowish semen may indicate underlying conditions such as prostatitis, epididymitis, or seminal vesiculitis. Chronic inflammation in these structures can repeatedly irritate the semen, leading to mild yellow discoloration.
