Can hypertension cause excessive sweating?
Disease description:
I don't know why, but I've been sweating profusely all day today. I was previously diagnosed with high blood pressure. Could high blood pressure cause excessive sweating?
Hypertension may cause spontaneous sweating. Hypertension is primarily characterized by symptoms such as dizziness, increased nocturia, and impaired cardiac function. However, when hypertensive patients experience acute episodes, conditions such as acute heart failure or acute myocardial infarction may develop, leading to profuse spontaneous sweating. Additionally, hypertensive urgency may also present with restlessness and spontaneous sweating.
