I ate quite a few mangoes today, and I have a drinking session tonight. I seem to recall reading somewhere before that mangoes and alcohol shouldn’t be consumed together—so I’d like to ask: Is it safe to eat mangoes when drinking alcohol?

It is generally not recommended to drink beer after consuming mangoes. If you are not allergic to mangoes, drinking a small amount of beer is usually acceptable. However, for individuals with a known mango allergy—or those with a prior history of mango allergy—consuming beer may exacerbate the allergic reaction and could even trigger anaphylactic shock, leading to various adverse effects.
