The adverse effects of metronidazole mainly include the following aspects: 1. Gastrointestinal symptoms: nausea, vomiting, epigastric discomfort, anorexia, abdominal cramps, etc., but generally do not affect treatment. 2. Neurological symptoms: headache, dizziness, fatigue, vertigo; occasionally abnormal sensations, limb numbness, ataxia, multiple neuritis, etc. Seizures may occur with high-dose use. 3. Allergic reactions: rash, urticaria, itching, etc., and in severe cases, anaphylactic shock may occur. 4. Hematologic system symptoms:少数 cases may develop leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, etc., which can recover after discontinuation of the drug. 5. Other: it may also cause dry mouth, exacerbation of diabetes, liver function damage, as well as cardiac toxic reactions such as tachycardia and arrhythmia.
