Whether patients with chronic enteritis can take Norfloxacin Capsules and Metronidazole needs to be discussed on a case-by-case basis:

If chronic enteritis is caused by bacterial infection, and its symptoms result from infection by susceptible bacteria or specific protozoa, Norfloxacin Capsules and Metronidazole may be considered as part of the treatment plan under a doctor's guidance. Norfloxacin Capsules primarily achieve bactericidal effects by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis and replication. Metronidazole is mainly used to treat anaerobic bacterial infections and chronic intestinal amoebiasis and may be used in combination with Norfloxacin Capsules under specific circumstances. Both medications have potential side effects—for example, Norfloxacin Capsules may cause gastrointestinal discomfort and photosensitivity reactions, while Metronidazole may lead to dry mouth, nausea, a metallic taste, and, with long-term use, possible neurological effects.

If chronic enteritis is caused by autoimmune factors or other non-bacterial infectious factors, Norfloxacin Capsules and Metronidazole may not be the optimal treatment options. In such cases, salicylate preparations or other medications targeting the specific underlying cause may be required.
