Will my face swell after undergoing thread lifting?

Oct 27, 2021 Source: Cainiu Health
Disease description:

Many people around me have undergone minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, and their appearances have indeed improved significantly. I’ve always felt my nose wasn’t aesthetically pleasing, so I opted for thread lift rhinoplasty. After the procedure, not only my nose but also my face appeared somewhat swollen. I’d like to ask: Is facial swelling common after a thread lift?

Hello, swelling typically subsides within about one week; however, individuals with weaker constitutions may experience slower resolution—often taking approximately one month. The threads will naturally dissolve within 30 days postoperatively. The most common issue is thread protrusion (thread extrusion), in which case the exposed thread ends can simply be removed. We recommend gentle massage after surgery, cold compresses to reduce swelling, increased intake of vitamin-rich foods, adequate hydration, and regular physical activity—while avoiding excessive crying or laughing. We hope this information is helpful. Wishing you good health!
