Hair growth on a mole is typically a normal physiological phenomenon and is neither inherently “good” nor “bad.”

Hair growth on a mole may result from relatively well-developed hair follicles in that area; the presence of hair does not indicate any tendency toward malignant transformation of the mole. However, if the mole itself undergoes noticeable changes—such as alterations in shape, color, or size—or is accompanied by symptoms like pain or itching, prompt medical evaluation is recommended.

Hair on a mole may affect cosmetic appearance, especially when the mole is located on visible areas such as the face. Treatment options—including laser hair removal—may be considered.
