Recently, while looking in the mirror, I noticed that my pupils were dilated, and my eyes felt slightly painful. What causes pupil dilation?

There are numerous causes of mydriasis (pupillary dilation), including glaucoma; cerebral aneurysms or intracranial tumors; ocular trauma; or optic nerve disorders. In cases where mydriasis results from glaucoma, medications such as sodium bicarbonate tablets may be used for treatment. However, it is essential to take any medication only under the guidance of a physician.
