What to do after mydriasis in esotropia
Disease description:
My son said he can't see clearly, so I took him for a vision check. He was diagnosed with esotropia and dilated pupils. What should we do now?
After cycloplegia, esotropia can be treated with eyeglasses or surgery. This condition may result from congenital inheritance, irregular eye use, poor lifestyle habits, or other factors. It is recommended to visit an ophthalmology department at a reputable hospital for examination. If a problem is confirmed, cycloplegia should first be performed, followed by pupil adjustment. After recovery, check for refractive errors; if present, corrective glasses can be prescribed. If vision is normal but the degree of strabismus is significant, surgical treatment is recommended.
