What should I do if my testicle is elevated after hernia surgery?

Disease description:

I’ve experienced swelling and pain in my groin area over the past few days, along with discomfort in my testicles. My doctor diagnosed it as a hernia and recommended surgery. I’d like to ask: What should be done if the testicle becomes elevated (i.e., “herniated upward”) after hernia surgery?

Hello, After hernia surgery, adhesions may develop between the vas deferens and surrounding tissues, potentially causing a sensation of heaviness or discomfort in the testicles. This is generally not a cause for concern, provided your normal physiological function remains intact. Over time, as postoperative inflammation resolves and scar tissue adhesions gradually soften and absorb, these symptoms will typically improve. To facilitate this process, warm compresses may be used as an adjunctive therapy. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health and happiness!
